Remember that disabled RECORD button we added to the side panel in v14? Well, it finally does something. š
We just posted a video tutorial demonstrating the new macro recorder that will be introduced in v15. The idea is pretty simple: click RECORD, perform the actions you want to automate, and Lightning Autofill will record each action as a macro step. When youāre done, click STOP, reload the page, and click PREVIEW to play everything back and make sure it works as expected.
In the video, we record ourselves filling out two rich text editors, including entering text, adding headings, moving text around, and applying bold formatting. You can also edit the value or selector of any recorded step before saving it. If thereās a step you donāt want, click the trash icon to remove it.
Once youāre happy with the results, click SAVE and the macro will be saved as a regular profile. From that point on, you can execute it just like any other autofill profile.

NOTE: Weāve tried our best to test the macro recorder against as many different scenarios as we could think of, and it passed all our tests. That said, the web is a wild place, so thereās bound to be some sites where the recorder will have a hard time. If you run into one, please let us know so we can take a look.
